My name is Levi Moore, and I’m a husband, preacher, former teacher, musician, occasional gamer, wannabe programmer, Linux advocate, and a child of the One True King.
I’ve been happily married to my wife since 2011. I accepted the call to preach God’s word in 2014, and I’ve been a student pastor at a Southern Baptist church in southeast Georgia since then. I graduated in May 2018 with a BA in Christian Studies (Magna cum Laude) from Truett-McConnell University, and I have since moved on to my Master of Arts in Theology (MATh) at the Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary (SWBTS). Upon completion of my Masters, I intend to pursue a Ph.D. in Systematic Theology at SWBTS.
Before God moved me into ministry, I was on track to become a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD). Following pharmacy school, I required a “tent-making” opportunity similar to the Apostle Paul, so I used my knowledge of science to teach high school sciences (Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and Computer Science) at a small Christian school from 2014-2018. This year, God moved me yet again. I'm now an Assistant Store Manager at one of the largest retailers in the world (I'll leave you guessing).
I love listening to and playing music! I play these musical instruments with some degree of proficiency: trombone, bass guitar, piano, hammered dulcimer, acoustic guitar, baritone ukulele, and voice (baritone/bass).
Lastly, but not least by any stretch, I am a child of my One True King: God. I am a Christian. I seek to follow after Jesus Christ daily as I deny myself and bear His cross. I hope the contents of this podcast will be an inspiration to you as I grow in my faith and drive you to seek after God all the more.
